Reflection

The year long thesis project provides the average 5th Year Architectural Engineering student with the opportunity to perform a task that most professionals do on a daily basis. This project allows students to have some insight on what they will be doing once they graduate from this program. For me, this project was very beneficial to both my professional and personal growth. Professionally, it allowed me to experience a real world problem and troubleshoot a solution. Personally, it helped me create a solid work ethic that I can build on for my career. Overall I enjoyed working on this project and I am happy to have completed this program.

CPEP Reflection

Utilizing CPEP has been an outstanding tool to help organize the files produced by this year long analysis. It has given me a method to share my findings in an organized and concise way. It was very easy to use and has helped elevate my senior thesis project.

Note: While great efforts have been taken to provide accurate and complete information on the pages of CPEP, please be aware that the information contained herewith is considered a work‐in progress for this thesis project. Modifications and changes related to the original building designs and construction methodologies for this senior thesis project are solely the interpretation of Nicholas Bast. Changes and discrepancies in no way imply that the original design contained errors or was flawed. Differing assumptions, code references, requirements, and methodologies have been incorporated into this thesis project; therefore, investigation results may vary from the original design.

I would like to thank and give credit to the Army Historical Foundation and SOM for the beautiful renderings of the National Museum of the United States Army.
